Webley
Week 12
ilmcote 228 Avenue 234. Avenue got off to a poor start but with season best scores from Jo Everett and Peter Mole and 34 from Alan Crichton the team did well overall and though they only had six shooters managed to get one of their highest scores this season. Wilmcote shooters hit only bulls and fours and with four shooters Jamie Putnam, Adam Clarke, Zoe Perkin and Lester Langford, missing just one bull each for scores of 34 Avenue were glad of the handicap points to come out winners with the highest team score this week 234.
Binton A 229 MEB 216. Binton were giving seventeen handicap points away to MEB who had only five shooters but their first two shooters, Chris Reed and Andy Smith pulled most of them back when they both shot possibles. Reed’s sixteenth career possible and Smith’s seventy fifth. Three shooters went on to score 33s which put Binton in a good position to win the match. MEB were not on form with only Paul Onions managing to stay out of the threes for 32 they saw the match slip away from them with a final score of 229 to 216.
Home Guard 212 Binton B 210. Home Guard’s Gareth Morris shot his second possible this season to get his team off to a good start but his team mates had more difficulty hitting the bull scoring mainly fours. Binton regulars shot consistently with 31 from Steve Hodges, Chris Green and Ken Masters but the team never got over the loss of the five handicap points so early in the match and with new shooters getting a handful of threes they lost the match by two points 212 to 210.
