ilmcote 229 Home Guard 212. With their third consecutive win Wilmcote moved to the top of the League with the highest team average of 227 and six match points. Adam and Jamie Clarke and Paul Clingan all just missed out on possibles with 34s. Home Guard hit mostly fours with Andy Morris scoring 33 and Tom Morris hitting 32.
Binton B 208 Binton A 229. Binton A had a clear win over Binton B with solid shooting. Andy Smith shot his 50th possible which he has been waiting for since last February. Gary Hooper and Chris Reed both shot 34s. Binton B were disadvantaged having to take an A N Other score and getting a smattering of threes. Their highest scorers were Chris Green, Joe Powell and Steve Hodges who all shot 31s.
Avon 224 Avenue 207. Avenue were keeping pace with Avon including a 33 from James Wilby, matched by Nick Williams. However two A N Other scores did not help their efforts as Avon fielded eight shooters the match slipped away from them. Despite the two point win, Avon slipped into second place in the League with a team average of 225.67 and six match points.
Clifford 220 MEB 203. Clifford shot well on their home target hitting fours and bulls. Ian Perkins was Clifford’s highest scorer when he shot 33. MEB had mixed fortunes with a smattering of threes amongst their shooters. Paul Onions kept his eye on the bull hitting seven for maximum points. His second possible – everything comes to those who wait, he shot one almost four years ago! New shooter Rob Dipple did well scoring 33.
