Webley

Week 13

inton A 230 MEB 229. Binton were on good form again with three shooters, Andy Smith, Collin Hayes and Will Cemis, missing out on maximum points with six bulls out of seven. Clearly happy on their home target the home team hit more bulls than fours for 230 points, the highest team score of the week. MEB only had five shooters and just two, Steph Ford and Paul Onions managed to stay out of the threes but even with a hefty handicap they finished just one point behind Binton.

Clifford 214 Binton B 219. Clifford had only five shooters for the match but a determined effort saw Ian Perkins get the highest score 33 of the night. Jay Morris and Martin Robinson were one point behind with 32s. Binton were one shooter short of a full team. Angie Powell shot 32 and four others shot 31s. Ignoring the handicap, the match was a draw but Binton with five handicap points came out winners.

Home Guard 223 Avon 223. Home Guard did well to get a draw here for although they had a nine point handicap they only had six shooters and an A N Other score of 28 was of limited use against the solid scoring they encountered from Avon, particularly Alison McMillan’s 34. Alan Brookes was Guards highest scorer with 33 but Nick Williams and Chris Adams also scored 33s for the visitors.

Wilmcote 222 Avenue 231. Avenue trailed throughout this match but 31s from Derek Savery and Steve Garlick and James Wilby’s score of 33 kept the team on target for a win when taking into account the handicap points. Wilmcote hitting only bulls and fours shot well with Sammy Skye Unitt only missing a possible by one point and Adam Clarke’s 33 were the team’s top scorers.
