Webley
Week 7
ilmcote 234 Binton B 229. Wilmcote were on top form last week when Lester Langford shot his sixth career possible and four shooters, Adam Clarke, Graham East, Sammy Skye Unitt and Jamie Clarke missed only one bull each for scores of 34. Their final score being the highest score of the week. Binton B shot well enough including 33 from Benn Chamberlain but even with a cushion of 22 handicap points Binton saw their first defeat in the Webley but they still retain top spot in the competition.
Binton A 227 Home Guard 226. Chris Reed (Binton) and Andy Morris (Home Guard) both shot maximum points again this week and as the final score line shows it was a close match throughout. Binton shooters kept their shots tight hitting only bulls and fours. Home Guard shooters had a few threes on the scoreboard and with ten handicap points in hand they came close to winning but not close enough.
Clifford 205 Avenue 216. Both teams had to rely on A N Other scores at the end of the match. Clifford’s Ian Perkins and Avenue’s James Wilby, Alan Crichton and Steve Garlick all shot 33s which gave Avenue the edge to win the match without using their handicap points.
MEB unfortunately did not have enough shooters for their match against Avon and had to forfeit the game.
