Avon shooter Bill Fleming shot a season best of 34 for the fourth time and Nick Williams and Alison McMillan shot 33s but with the handicap of five points Avon’s total of 221 was not enough to win the match.

With only six shooters their handicap of nine, was worth gold when Home Guard’s final two shooters scored over 30. Avenue ‘s final score of 219 was enough to win the match and put them in second place in this competition.

MEB started well with personal and season best scores of 31 from Allan Stewart and new shooter Steph Ford. Rob Dipple was unlucky to have a missed shot which could have made all the difference in the match against the Binton B team. Three Binton shooters equalled their season best scores, Steve Hodges 34, Joe Powell 32 and Ken Masters 31 to give the team a victory and top place in the Webley.
