Week 2
venue 205 Binton A 228 Binton got off to a solid start with 34 from Andy Smith and 33 from Colin Hayes. Consistent shooting from the rest of the team including another 34 from Will Cemis saw the team build up points to finish top of this week’s high scores. Avenue started well, keeping pace with Binton which included 34 from Steve Garlick and were only two points behind after three shooters but it went downhill from there and they came second in this match.
Wilmcote 227 MEB 193 Brothers Ashleigh and Adam Clarke managed to put two 34s on Wilmcote’s score card and with a full team shooting only bulls and fours the team romped ahead of MEB. Marc Anderton and Paul Onions kept out of the threes for scores of 30 apiece but with two A N Other scores MEB had no chance of winning this match.
Clifford 212 Avon 226 Avon started well with Alison McMillan missing one bull for 34 and the team built on this keeping their shots tight for bulls and fours to win this match by a good margin. Clifford did less well on their home target and though they had only two threes on the target an A N Other score did not really help their efforts.
The match between Binton B and Home Guard was postponed.
