ilmcote 234 MEB 240 MEB. had the highest team score this week which included a career best score from Allan Stewart who shot five above his league average and a season best score from Paul Onions. Wilmcote with three maximum scores from Adam Clarke, Jamie Clarke and Andrew Clingan fought hard to pull back the handicap points but MEB prevailed.
Clifford 228 Home Guard 216. Clifford shooters were successful with three of their first four shooters all missing just one bull for 34s which was a career best shot for Ben Withers and season best shots for Ian Perkins and Trevor Morris. The team shot eleven points above their league average and did not need the handicap for a well deserved win in this match. Home Guard managed two 34s, a season best for Tim Stephens and Andy Morris’ ninth almost possible.
Binton A 228 Binton B 220. Binton A had to give fourteen handicap points to the their opponents but they shot consistently to pull them back including 34s from Chris Reed and Andy Smith. Keeping their shot tight they hit more bulls than the other team to come out winners. Binton B’s Steve Hodges topped the team’s scorecard with a season best score of 34 but though his team mates kept out of the threes, the total was two below the league average.
Avenue 201 Avon 220. Avenue got off to a good start with two of their first three shooters hitting 32s, Alan Crichton and Steve Garlick but a smattering of threes did not help. Avon shot consistently following a pattern of 31 then 32 throughout the match. Shooting five points better than average, they out performed the home team to come out clear winners.
