Webley

Week 8

EB 223 Binton A 225. Binton shot consistently with 34s from Chris Reed, Michelle Dale and Andy Smith and 33 from Will Cemis to narrowly win this match despite having to give MEB a 26 point handicap. The win kept them at the top of the Webley League Table.

Avon 232 Wilmcote 234. Wilmcote turned out with eight shooters and fought strongly to pull back the handicap given to Avon. Three of their shooters, John Maycock, Adam Clarke and Jamie Clarke missed only one bull each for scores of 34 and four shooters scored 33s. Avon’s Karl McMillan countered with a season best score of 33 but with only six shooters the A N Other score of 28 did not help. The result put Wilmcote second in the League Table and Avon third, one and two points respectively behind the leaders. The Shield is still in contention.

Binton B 211 Clifford 212. Binton had the advantage of shooting on their home target and just two handicap points but too many loose threes gave the win to Clifford who with only six shooters pressed their early lead to win by one point. Benn Chamberlain and Jay Morris lead the scoring with 33s.
