League

Week 4

EB vs Wilmcote. Wilmcote, relentless in their efforts to retain the League Cup, won their fourth consecutive match of the season with impressive shooting from their team, whose individual shooting average was 33. Hitting only bulls and fours, they had a decisive victory over beleaguered MEB. Paul Onions shot 33 for the home team but with two A N Other scores of 28 they were 10 points behind before the match started and stood no chance of winning the match.

Binton B vs Binton A. Chris Reed started the match shooting 33 which was matched by Chris Green who got the home team off to a good start. The scores were level after three shooters but then Andy Smith took Binton A into the lead with his 34. Binton B could not keep up despite 32 from Steve Hodges which John Parrott matched and another 34 from Will Cemis gave Binton A a solid win with 224 points to 213.

Home Guard vs Clifford. Both teams were able to field eight shooters and at first both were on an equal footing but unfortunately a missed shot for Home Guard put Clifford into the lead. However a few loose shots from Clifford gave the home team the advantage. Andy Morris’ 34 and Tom Morris’ 33 gave Home Guard the extra points the team needed to win 219 to Clifford’s 210 points.

Avon vs Avenue – this match will be played later in the season.
