Week 4

inton A vs Binton B Binton A scored 221 for a well deserved win over Binton B who scored 220 for, though they had to give away fourteen handicap points, they shot well to win them back to top the Webley table with six points and an average of 223.25. Shooting mainly fours and bulls top shots in this match were Chris Reed 34 and Michelle Dale and Will Cemis 33s.

Avon vs Avenue Avon shot seven above their team average which included a career best of 33 for Sam Green to win against Avenue who shot, for them, an average of 214 points. Richard Mills shot a season best of 31 and Alan Crichton and Steve Parrack both managed 33 on what seemed to be a difficult target for the visitors.

Home Guard vs Clifford Guard’s shooters did well to pull back the six point handicap given to Clifford. Mick Pegg and Matt Carvell both shot career best scores and Andy Morris, renowned for his scores of 34 went one better to shoot his first possible this season. The final score Home Guard 222 Clifford 220 points.

MEB vs Wilmcote League winners, Wilmcote, had to give a significant handicap to MEB, equivalent to an extra shooter but with such a beleaguered team MEB are still without a win in this competition. Paul Onions held his own shooting 32 for the home team but it seems nothing can stop Wilmcote who notched up an amazing total score of 232 which included Jamie Clarke’s ninth possible this season, and 34s from his brothers Ashley and Adam and 33s from Graham East and Paul Clingan to give them their first win in the Webley.
