Binton B were no real challenge to Home Guard. Steve Hodges, Ian Powell and Tom Gosbell stayed out of the threes for 31, 30 and 29 respectively but with too many loose threes on their home target they could only muster 201 points. Clifford and Avenue had a close match though both teams had their fair share of threes. Trevor Morris, Martin Robinson and Rachael Brookes kept their shots tight for 32, 31 and 30 and despite a three Ben Withers also shot 30. It was the old Silhillian contingent of the Avenue team which saved them from defeat with James Wilby and Paul Lowe shooting 34s, Steve Parrack 33 and Alan Crichton 31. Peter Mole and Dee Green both had loose shots but with an A N Other score of 28 Avenue scraped to a win by just one point 209 to 210.

Struggling MEB had only five shooters when they shot against Avon. Mainstays Fred and Kath Williams had the best shots with 32 and 30. With two A N Other scores the beleaguered team could only manage 192 points.
