venue vs Clifford - This was a close match with only one or two points between the teams for most of the time. Avenue were giving Clifford four handicap points the Clifford team were shooting better than their average scores. Alan Crichton shot his third possible in this competition and Paul Lowe just missed out with 34. This clinched the match for Avenue who came out winners 221 points to 219.

 

Avon vs MEB - Avon shooters did rather better on their home target than MEB who were able to field a full team but which included three inexperienced shooters who unfortunately got low scores. Richard Groom was top shot with 34, having missed one bull. Even with the handicap from Avon, MEB struggled to make 217 points giving Avon a win with 220 points.

 

Binton B vs Home Guard - The home team shot well and with a seventeen point handicap from Guards they had a solid win from this fixture. Chris Green shot a seasonal and personal best of 34 and Ian and Joe Powell equalled their personal best score of 32. Guards shot only bulls and fours for good scores for the whole team. Katie Barrett equalled her personal best of 34, the final pellet failing to give her a first possible and with 33s from brothers Gareth and Tom Morris, Home Guard finished on 227 points. Binton with 234 altogether had a convincing win.

 

Wilmcote vs Binton A - Both teams shot consistently well hitting only bulls and fours. Binton were not quite as accurate as the home team though Will Cemis shot a possible and Neil Beningfield hit a 33. Wilmcote continue on top form with the Clarke brothers leading the way last week with a possible from Jamie and 34s from Adam and Ashleigh and Andrew Clingan also shot 34. Wilmcote won their fourth match in this competition 233 to 228 points.

 

Tonight sees the Pairs Competition take place at Wilmcote Social Club 8.30pm prompt.
