venue A were at home to high scoring top of the League Wilmcote last week. Paul Lowe for the home team scored 34 as did Steve Parrack who was unlucky not to get a possible when his last shot went into the four. James Wilby and Steve Everett both shot 32. Wilmcote’s Jamie Clarke shot 34 and the rest of the team shot only bulls and fours for 32s except John Maycock and Paul Clingan who shot 33s. The final score was Avenue 217 Wilmcote 228 points.
Clifford suffered mixed fortunes on their home target in the match against Binton A. Their best shot came from Ian Perkins with 32 and Trevor Morris kept out of the threes for 31. Binton’s Andy Smith and Will Cemis both shot 34 and Michelle Dale 33. They had some loose threes unusual for the team but the still came out winners with 224 points to Clifford’s 201.
MEB had only six shooters for their match against Avon. Top shot was Paul Onions with 33. Avon held their early lead throughout the match and Alison McMillan who was first to shoot scored 34. Three team members, Bill Fleming, Mar Ellis and Richard Groom all scored 32 which contributed to Avon’s winning score of 215 points.
The match between Snitterfield and Avenue B was cancelled.
Matches tonight Avenue A vs Binton A; Avon vs Snitterfield; Binton B vs Avenue B; Clifford vs Wilmcote. MEB have a bye. The annual Christmas Shoot will take place on Tuesday 23 December at Snitterfield Sports Club. League matches resume on 8 January 2015.
