A shot only fours and bulls last week in their match against Avenue A. Will
Cemis shot his second possible of the season. Andy Smith shot 34 and Michelle
Dale and Alan Dyer both shot 33s. The team scored 229 points which was more than
Avenue could handle. Avenue’s Steve Parrack shot 34, James Wilby shot 33 and
Steve Everett and Paul Lowe 31s but with five loose threes the team ended on 211
points.
Wilmcote were at home for their match against Clifford. Jamie Clarke and Paul
Clingan both shot 34s for the home team which finished the match on 222 points.
Clifford had four shooters who stayed out of the threes with Trevor Morris
shooting 33, Martin Robinson 31 and Ian Perkins and Rachael Brookes both getting
30. The other shooters got some loose shots and the team finished on 202.
Avon visited Snitterfield who were able to field eight shooters. Andy Morris
shot 34, Gareth Morris and Alan Brookes 33 and Tom Morris 32. Avon kept their
shots tight with Alison McMillan shooting 34 as did Mark Ellis and Bill Fleming
who was unlucky not to get a possible when his final shot hit the four. Colin
Fulford and Steve Ray scored 33 each and the team won the match with 227 points
to Snitterfield’s 221.
Avenue B had too many loose shots for high scores except for Richard Mills who
shot 33. Binton B had five shooters who kept out of the three but they too had
some loose shots. Chris Green and Joe Powell both shot 32 and Ben Chamberlain
and Steve Hodges 31 points. Both teams had eight shooters and after dropping
their lowest score the teams finished with 206 for Avenue and 210 for Binton.
The first rounds in competition for the Whitbread Individual Trophy were shot on
Tuesday evening. Matches tonight Avenue A vs Snitterfield; Avon vs Avenue B;
Binton B vs Binton A and Clifford vs MEB. Wilmcote have a bye.
