League Week 13
ilmcote shooters had the bell target ringing shooting only bulls and fours for another high score of 232 points in their match against Snitterfield. Graham East shot a career best scoring maximum points and Jamie Clarke hit his seventh possible in league matches. Andrea Norris and Paul Clingan both missed just one bull for 34 points each. Snitterfield pressed them hard with Tom Morris shooting his second maximum and Katie Barrett, a new shooter this season and who has only shot four times got a personal best of 34. Tim Stephens and Andy Morris also shot 34s. However Snitterfield with fewer bulls finished just four points behind.
Binton B were at home to Clifford. This was a close match with Clifford taking a narrow lead which they hung on to the end of the match only to have victory snatched from their grasp at the last minute. Angie Powell and Jay Morris both shot 32 which was the highest score in the match. At the final accounting it was 208 points each and a draw.
Avon shot fours and bulls in their match against Avenue A who had two counting threes but with James Wilby and Paul Lowe both shooting 33 for Avenue it was a close match to the end. Bill Fleming, Mark Ellis and Steve Ray shot 32s for Avon and Joe Alexander did well also getting 32 with a borrowed gun which he had not used before. Avon won the match 215 to Avenue’s 211 points.
Avenue B’s top shot was Richard Mills who got 32. Jackie Mills, Joshua Bridge and Andrew Radbourne all shot 30 but their other three shooters had some loose shots and did not get high scores. MEB did better with Paul Onions shooting 34 which equalled his personal best. Sam Dunn, Tim Onions and Fred Williams all shot 31 and with fewer loose shots MEB came out winners with 210 points.
