n the second leg of the Avon Challenge held at Bengeworth British Legion on Monday 26th January, between shooters representing Evesham and Stratford Air Gun Leagues, victory went once more to Evesham. Shooting over more than our usual 6yards, the match favoured the home side. Paul Clingan for Stratford had the highest score with 33pts, Andy Smith, Coin Fulford, Michelle Dale and Steve Ray all scored 31. Simon Dale and Will Troth shot 29 and Alan Brookes shot 28 to give the team a total of 243pts. Craig Roberts for Evesham was unlucky with his third shot which was a four and which prevented him from getting a possible. Amy and J Lewis both shot 32, R Pitcher, Jamie Beadle and I Harwood all shot 30 and Paul Skrypzcuk shot 29 to bring Evesham's total to 248pts. Evesham won the competition by a total of 11pts. However, Paul Clingan took the Bill Amos Trophy for the highest score, (65) in the competition.
