Report - Avon Challenge, 29th October 2007

The first leg of the annual competition between the Evesham and Stratford shooting leagues, The Avon Challenge, took place on Monday 29 October at Binton Club. It has to be said that the Stratford team were out classed by their opponents who took the first leg of this competition by 16 points. The Evesham team were represented by Amy Lewis, who could not miss the bull and got the only possible on the night. P Lewis and R Pitcher who both shot 34: Adrienne Lewis and A Green who scored 33 points each: R Rose who scored 31: D Staniforth and I Harwood who both shot 30. Representing Stratford, Paul Clingan only missed one bull to score 34 points. Andy Morris, Steve Ray and Gary Hooper each shot 31: Colin Fulford and Neil Beningfield both shot 30: Alan Brookes who shot 29 and Ben Chamberlain who shot 28. The total score being Stratford 244 and Evesham 260.
