Snap Shoot Report - 27th November 2007
The Snap Shoot competition took place on Tues
(27/11). Registered shooters had just a minute to load, fire 5 pellets and shoot
at least two bulls to score a minimum of 22pts to qualify for the final shoot
out. They could have as many attempts to qualify as they wished before the cut
off time. Eight shooters including Andy Morris who qualified at his first
attempt and Paul Boazman who had the best score of the night with 24 out of a
possible 25pts got through to the final where a clean bull counted as 5.1pts.
Time ran out for Jon Packard who was able to fire only four of his five pellets.
Alan Brookes, Paul Boazman and Paul Clingan each shot 20pts. Simon Dale scored
21.1pts. Andy Morris and Will Troth tied with 22.1 and had a play off for runner
up where time became a problem for Andy Morris who managed to shoot only four
pellets in the time allowed. This left the way clear for Will Troth, one of this
seasons new junior shooters, if he could keep his nerve. Will took second place
with two bulls and three fours scoring 22 pts.
Trevor Skinner who has experience with other types of guns due to his
agricultural background but who only started shooting bell target a few weeks
ago when he joined the league, showed the speed and accuracy necessary in this
competition to make him the winner with 22.2pts.
