Avon Challenge Report - 22nd January 2007

The second leg of the Avon Challenge competition against Evesham was shot on Monday 22 January at Binton Club. Stratford, represented by Andy Morris, Ray Warnock, Colin Fulford, Simon Dale, Michelle Dale, Gareth Morris, Alan Brookes and Neil Beningfield, were behind by 6 points after the teams last met in October and had a lot to do if they were win the challenge. The scores were even after two shooters from each team but Amy Lewis and her mother Adrienne came to the mark to shoot possibles. Stratford were unable to match Evesham's accuracy and drifted behind by 7 points. Michelle Dale, Gareth Morris and Neil Beningfield clawed back 3 points but Andy Green for Evesham snatched them back again. The final score Stratford 258: Evesham 265.

The Bill Amos cup was won by Adrienne Lewis, (Evesham) Adrienne being one of 3 shooters to accumulate 67 points out of a possible 70, for the combined home and away legs. Her daughter Amy Lewis and R Pitcher also scored 67, but they were unlucky and lost out in the 3 shot shoot out.
