Binton v MEB - After last weeks high
scoring contest with Wilmcote, Binton shot below their best against the MEB.
Simon Dale continued his fine form this season scoring a 33, lifting him to 3rd
place in this season's league averages. Gary Hooper shot 32 while John Parrott
shot a "quick fire" career best of 31. MEB's Ray Warnock (1st in this seasons
averages) narrowly missed out on the chance of a possible but was backed up by
Fred Williams scoring a 33. The final score was a win to Binton 218pts to MEB
206.
Wilmcote were at home to the new Binton B (Mason's) team. Andy Morris remains on
good form with another 34pts to his credit. Alan Brookes and Tom Morris shot
well with scores of 32 and 31 respectively. The team only shot 3 stray 3's to
give them a total of 207pts. Binton B shot consistently with Jim Usher and Roy
Clarke both shooting 30pts. The team ended up on 200pts.
RBL were unable to field a full team and the match against Avenue Sports &
Social Club did not take place.
Change of venue: The Whitbread Individual Competition will take place on Tues 24
October at Binton Club and not as previously notified, at the Home Guard Club.
