Matches shot on 2nd November 2006.

We have a possible! In the Binton v Binton B (Mason's) match Simon Dale (Binton) set the pace with a 34. Jim Usher and Mike Perry shooting for Binton B answered with scores of 33 points each. Gary Hooper (Binton), shot the first possible this season. Gary, who has been shooting for 6 seasons, has only shot a possible once before. He was well supported by his team who yet again went on to finish with another high score of 225 points to win the match against stable mates Binton B who shot 211.

RBL are finding their form winning their match against Home Guard (HG) 212 points to 206 points. John Dencer shot 32 for RBL but man of this match was Colin Fulford (HG) with 33.

MEB were at home to Avenue Sports & Social (ASSC). MEB, a much weaker team this season, could only field 5 shooters but thanks to the A N Other rule managed to draw the match with 205 points.

This year a new competition has been launched for the most improved shooter since last season. To qualify, a shooter must have shot in at least 75% of the matches available (18 matches last year, 13 this ). Last year's Baildham Average (from both League and Webley matches) is then used as a base and is compared with this year's average. The maths behind the determination of the percentage improvement is not for the fainthearted but luckily the computer does the sums! Half way through the league season, sees Louise Price (ASSC) ahead with an improvement of 35.48% over last year's shooting but unfortunately she did not shoot the required number of matches last year and is therefore not eligible for a prize. Of those that are eligible, Irene Parsons (HG) is ahead of the rest with an improvement of 32.17% so far. Andy Morris and Alan Brookes both from Wilmcote are next with improvements of 31.34% and 25.93% respectively. Will Irene maintain this early lead and be the first to win this competition or will Andy and Alan who are both shooting very well at the moment pip here to the post?
